The goal of our service is to help families remain intact by ensuring that each individual entitled to immigration benefits can access those opportunities.
We also assist battered and abused spouses who are dealing with immigration issues. This service usually involves developing a petition for protection under the Violence Against Women Act which, when approved, allows such spouses to self-petition for the right to permanently stay in the United States.
Fees for services are means-tested and range from nothing to a nominal amount.
Gulf States Immigration Services is an Alabama Nonprofit Organization and is IRC Section 501(c)(3) exempt.
Gulf States is an organization officially Recognized by the U.S. Department of Justice, Executive Office for Immigration Review, Office of Legal Access Programs under 8 C.F.R. Sec 1292.11, with Accredited Representative under 8 C.F.R. Section 1292.12.
Gulf States provides services to all individuals regardless of race, color, nationality, ethnicity, religion, political opinion, sexual orientation, gender identification or any circumstance which causes discrimination against others.

Una vez aprobada esta petición, se le permite al cónyuge, mujer o varón golpeado, a que, por su sola voluntad, permanezca en los Estados Unidos, con residencia permanente. Costo de los servicios: Varían según los medios económicos del cliente, y pueden ir de cero, a un valor nominal, calculado según la entrada o los recursos del cliente.

- Once arriving at DUMAS WESLEY COMMUNITY CENTER, make your way to the administration offices (located to the left of the main chapel entrance
- Use the intercom to the left of the door to be “buzzed in” to the lobby
- Inform the receptionist that you are here to meet with the Gulf States Immigration Services
- We will be out to meet you promptly.
